While Marci MacGuffie’s solo exhibition was installed in Lukacs Gallery, (Fairfield University) this performance took place instead of the expected Visiting Artist lecture. For 25 min, she remained inside the box at the podium, the student performers filled seats on the stage facing a screen. A slide projector automatically flashed an empty slide every 5 sec.— illuminating a black plexiglas circle (painted half yellow) with a lit rectangle. A recording of one bee buzzed aloud.
