The Geometry of Paper Dolls: Coincidence Calendar is an ongoing body of work; including paintings, drawings, notes, sculptures, and an audio piece that interprets how the coincidences sound when they are scored. After 18 years of cataloging coincidences, I compiled my notes into a personal sacred geometry that helps me to articulate and discuss the ‘data’. Beginning in 1990 (as a freshman at Cornell University), I noticed bees swarming at the same time of day. The clock tower bells would ring and the bees would be swarming. At that time, I thought it was a coincidence and I wrote it down in my notebook. I now know that the circadian rhythm of bees has been flushed out by science and it is not ‘unexplained’. But it was at that time that I began jotting down coincidences that happened in my personal life and significant macro global/universal events.
